Author and Illustrator of
"All The Things I Learned From Ghosts"
Hello there! My name is Kailyn and I'm an Illustrator and Graphic Designer. I love Halloween, antiques, vintage fashion, and, of course, ghost stories. If the future goes as planned, I hope to become an illustrator and concept artist for films and animation.

Why Ghosts?
I saw my first ghost at the age of three.
A fireman outside my window that only I could see despite my mother being in the same room. Often times we see ghosts as scary entities in our favorite horror films, campfire stories, and haunted tours. I think ghosts can be much more than that; Ghosts exist to teach us lessons, to remind us that there is life after death, and that we are never truly alone.
Memento Mori
"Remember that you will die"

It sounds a bit grim at first, but Memento Mori is a latin phrase that serves to remind us that our time is limited, and that we should not take life for granted. Cherish every moment, live to the fullest, and take chances.

Risograph
Printing
Risograph is a printmaking process which combines the best of digital and traditional print: a hand-made look and feel with the speed, low-cost and efficiency of a modern printer. Riso printing uses plant-based inks and colors that can be used with transparency and overprinting to create additional colors through overlapping.

Zines
A Zine (pronounced "zeen") is a mini self-made publication. The name originates from the word "magazine" and can be filled with anything that fills your little creative heart. This one just happens to be about ghosts.
